Atlantic Records has announced the early release of the highly anticipated “WOPTOBER” from Gucci Mane, which premiered early on Friday, October 14th as a free album for his fans. “WOPTOBER” is available now at all streaming services. In addition, plans have been laid for a new studio album from Gucci Mane; “The Return Of East Atlanta Santa” will be available at all DSPs and streaming services on December 16th.

“WOPTOBER” was preceded by tracks “Bling Blaww Burr (Feat. Young Dolph)” and “Money Machine (Feat. Rick Ross),” both of which are joined by companion video clips streaming now at the OfficialGucciMane YouTube channel.

Icy Little Bitch,” the third and most recent track release from “WOPTOBER,” was greeted by a wave of online attention, including The Fader, HotNewHipHop.com, and XXL, which praised the track for being “as fresh as they come” while also noting Gucci’s cover-starring role in the magazine’s fall issue. The XXL cover is just the latest in a long series of high profile press features, including GQ Style, Vogue, and The Fader. Widely ranked among the most gifted rappers of his generation, Gucci has been incredibly productive since his long incarceration; he most recently hit the stage at the star studded 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards to open the show with a performance that included a medley of “First Day Out Tha Feds,” “Last Time,” and “Pick Up The Phone,” joined by featured guests Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Quavo. The historic performance is streaming now at BET.com.

As if all that weren’t enough, “Oh Lord,” performed by Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne, is one of the  highlights on “THE BIRTH OF A NATION: THE INSPIRED BY ALBUM,” Atlantic Records’ recently released musical companion to the landmark film from Fox Searchlight Pictures. Highsnobiety hailed the track, noting, “With heavy bass backing some sick wordplay, lines such as ‘I’m a prophet, a legend/I’m not beggin’/I rather die for my freedom than live like a peasant’ remind us why Gucci Mane is one of the best in the game.”

“WOPTOBER” arrives hot on the heels of Gucci’s critically acclaimed album, “EVERYBODY LOOKING.” The collection made an incredible chart debut upon its July release, at #1 on Soundscan/Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart; his highest ranking debut to date. Gucci’s first studio album in half a decade, “EVERYBODY LOOKING” is available now in stores and all DPS and streaming services.

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” was recorded in Atlanta over six days immediately following Gucci’s early release from prison last May, a surprise for his millions of supporters after the overwhelming public response to his late spring homecoming. The album is produced by Mike WiLL Made-It (Future, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign) and Zaytoven (Usher, Nicki Minaj), with additional production from Murda Beatz (Migos, Young Thug), Marz & Swae Lee (Rae Sremmurd, Beyoncé), Pluss (Beyoncé, Rae Sremmurd), Will A Fool (Future, Drake), and multiple GRAMMY® Award nominee Christopher “Drumma Boy” Gholson.

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” was preceded by a number of hugely popular track releases, including “Back On Road (Gucci Mane & Drake),” the Drumma Boy-produced “All My Children,” “No Sleep (Intro),” “Guwop Home (Feat. Young Thug)” and “First Day Out Tha Feds. The latter track proved a true pop culture phenomenon, earning close to 1 million SoundCloud plays within the first 12 hours of its May 27th release.

Gucci celebrated the arrival of “EVERYBODY LOOKING” with “Gucci Mane & Friends,” his first full-scale live performance since his release. Held July 22nd at Atlanta, GA’s world renowned Fox Theatre, the star-studded concert extravaganza saw the Trap God joined by an array of surprise special guests, including Fetty Wap, OJ Da Juiceman, 2 Chainz, Future, and Drake, who personally welcomed Gucci home before busting out versions of “Back On Road” and “Believe It Or Not.” The concert – which was live streamed exclusively online through Revolt TV – received rave reviews across the national media, hailed by Billboard as “yet another win…It’s safe to that Gucci is back (although he never really left) and has reclaimed his Trap God throne.” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution summed it up best: “If anyone doubted it, he’s back.”
Alongside the release of “EVERYBODY LOOKING,” Gucci was featured in in a major profile piece in the New York Times. After its’ release, Gucci continued to keep himself busy – he appeared in a recent promo video for SUPREME; and contributed to the blockbuster new single, “Champions,” performed by Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, Quavo & Desiigner. As if that weren’t enough, Gucci was further greeted upon release with news of three new RIAA gold sales certifications for his classic 2009 album, “THE STATE VS. RADRIC DAVIS’ and its two hit singles, “Wasted” and “Spotlight (Feat. Usher).”
